TECOM Celebrates Another KuStream® Product Line Milestone

TECOM Industries announces another milestone in the KuStream® product line.  TECOM KuStream 2000 Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) TV receive antenna system designed for narrow body commercial aircraft was launched on October 30th 2012 in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Azul Brazilian Airlines. At their media event and system launch, Azul unveiled 39 aircraft that have the TECOM KuStream 2000 satellite antenna system installed.  Passengers are reporting excellent performance of the In-flight Entertainment System.

The TECOM KuStream 2000 antenna system consists of an External Antenna Assembly (EAA) and an Antenna Control Unit (ACU) used to receive television signals from Ku Band satellites.  These signals are converted for displaying 48 channels of live television entertainment on board the aircraft during flight.  The system is custom designed for Azul for operating in the equatorial regions.

TECOM President, Gene Joles stated that "TECOM is pleased to have the opportunity to work with Azul Brazilian Airlines on the KuStream 2000 satellite antenna system development, successful launch and deployment for the Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) TV service application.  We are gratified at the customer acceptance of this product and look forward to additional installations of the KuStream 2000 on Azul aircraft."
