Thousand Oaks, CA (February, 2006) --- TECOM Industries, Inc. announced that they have been selected by Raytheon Missile Systems to produce antenna assemblies for the Standard Missile-6 Extended Range Active Missile program, currently in the System Development and Demonstration phase. TECOM’s Integral Antenna Assembly will provide flight termination, telemetry, and beacon functionality for the SM-6.

This new weapon is the next generation of extended range anti-air warfare missiles, and it combines the proven capabilities of the Standard Missile airframe with the advanced seeker technology of Raytheon’s Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile.

Like previous versions of the Standard Missile, the SM-6 ERAM will be deployed on destroyer and cruiser type combatants of today and tomorrow, and is also expected to be compatible with the next generation DD(X) Fire Control System. SM-6 will be able to engage targets beyond the ship’s horizon by using networked fire control data such as that provided by the Navy’s Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC).
