Thousand Oaks , CA (June 15, 2009) - TECOM Industries, Inc., a Smiths Interconnect business, today announced the introduction of a new space-qualified antenna to their comprehensive line of antenna products. This new antenna, Type 401163-7 provides S-band hemispherical, broad beam pattern coverage for optimum telemetry control of a satellite in all orientations. Componentry of the antenna is fully compliant for space environments, including out-gassing, severe shock, vibration, temperature and RF requirements. The 401163-7 antenna was recently selected for installation on a NASA Remote Sensing and Satellite program and is an ideal solution for earth-space data link systems.
Optional accessories for the 401163-7 include test hat couplers which provide a convenient mechanism for end-to-end RF testing of spacecraft antennas during ground testing and integration.
